What Does Weed Cones Mean?
Joint cones are similar to rolling joints and result in pre-rolled cones. The pre-rolled weed cone is afterward stuffed with cannabis. A regular or king-size hemp paper is ideal for rolling cones.
The result is a natural hemp cone, which is much easier to produce than rolling regular hemp papers. It's also easier to roll up fatter pre-rolls too. King-size wraps can often accommodate up to 2 grams of ground marijuana and are shaped to provide the optimal roll.
Rolling Weed Cones Guide
There are two common ways to make joint cones, rolling freehand and using a tool to produce your cone. For both methods, you’ll need joint filter tips, hemp rolling paper cones, and throw in some blunt glue if you want to make things easy.
Rolling Freehand
- First, you’re going to place the blunt tip at one corner of the hemp rolling paper, and slowly roll until the wrap forms a small trough.
- Add your ground cannabis to the trough area evenly, and leave yourself a tiny bit of room at the non-filter end.
- Finish rolling the weed cone by moving your fingers in a slow “snap” motion, making sure to have one end of the wrap overlap the other.
- Moisten the wrap or use blunt glue to seal it up. Either tuck or twist the far end to close it, and you’re ready to smoke.
The freehand method is more labor-intensive and has the greatest potential for error in new rollers.
Pre-Rolling Joint Cones
This method produces more consistent results, but takes a little more time. You will need a joint filter tip, wrap, and blunt glue.
- Put the joint filter tip on the hemp cone, and add blunt glue to the opposite edge.
- Roll the blunt tip and wrap it up into a cone, securely sticking the far edge down.
- Funnel in your ground weed and push the cannabis down until the desired firmness is achieved.
- Close the open end for more uniform lighting; it’s time to burn.
If you need to roll more than one weed cone, this method makes rolling several cones much easier and creates more consistent rolls.
Why Corn Husk Joint Filter Tips Are Ideal
The corn husk design of our blunt tips makes them much more durable than paper or hemp joint filters, plus the husk material gives them benefits that other materials can’t provide. The more robust construction gives you a solid foundation for your joint cone and has the perfect pitch so your cone isn’t too wide or narrow.
Corn husk blunt tips have superior tar filtering abilities compared to hemp paper, and the natural flavor is highly neutral so that it won’t interfere with the taste of your cannabis. Additionally, corn husk resists the collapse from heat and humidity that happens with conventional paper joint filters, so your blunt hits perfectly from start to finish.
