A Cannagar is essentially a cannabis cigar with a hole inside of it, if that wasn’t obvious. Typically, it's hand-rolled using the leaves of marijuana. The flower is packed tightly in a cigar mold and then removed, leaving you with just a packed stick of weed. While this is fun on its own, we’ve discovered that, when put inside a King Palm leaf cone, you get a cannabis experience that’s completely out of this world. To help you make one of these weed cigars on your own we’ve come up with a guide on how to make a cannagar with King Palm wraps.

What You’ll Need

Before we tell you how to craft these cannabis cigars, let’s start with what you’ll need to make the process happen.

First and foremost, make sure you have a few grams of high-quality bud. You don’t want to be smoking a cannagar blunt that’s made from shake or trim, as the smoke will be harsh and probably not very tasty. For this specific cannagar blunt, we’re using a King Palm Mini Roll, which holds a gram of flower, though if you have a bigger mold, you can use one of the larger sizes as well.

There are multiple molds available online from various websites for making Thai Sticks with King Palm products. For a cannagar, you cannot use just a typical packing stick, as your mold is strategically made with a skewer in the middle for enhanced airflow through the tight pack.

None of this is possible (or, at least easy) without a cannagar mold or cannagar kit (A fan Submitted Mold created by a Reddit user).

Step-By-Step Instructions

Thankfully, making a cannagar blunt is actually quite straightforward. As long as you have all the right tools, you’ll be all set. Let’s get started.

Step One: Grinding Your Bud

The only way to start crafting your King Palm cannagar is by grinding your bud. Hand-ground bud just isn’t going to cut it when it comes to a cannagar: the flower must be small and finely ground to burn evenly and properly.

For a King Palm Mini Roll, you’re going to need to grind up at least a gram to a gram-and-a-half of weed. If you want your cannagar blunt smaller, you don’t have to fill the roll up all the way (though we highly recommend you do so). Do keep in mind that cannagars are going to pack much tighter than your typical joint or blunt, so you’ll be able to hold more flower than just a gram.

Step Two: Assembling and Packing the Mold

If there’s any “challenging” step in this process, it would be assembling the weed cannagar mold—and we say that lightly. To do this, you must place the small metal rod in between the two halves of the mold. Lock them together using the accompanied shell. Once the cannagar mold is assembled, it should look like a tube with a metal skewer right in the middle.

After assembly, it’s time to start packing it. Take your flower a few pinches at a time, and fill it using the proper packing stick. Make sure to do this process over a rolling tray, as you’ll lose quite a bit of flower otherwise.

Continue packing the mold with bud until it’s as full as you want it to be. (Whether that’s packed to the brim or only partially full is entirely up to you.) Use the packing device often, ensuring that your bud is in there nice and tight. Remember, the weed should be so tightly packed that it completely forms around the stick.

Step Three: Inserting into Your King Palm

After all of your weed is nicely stuffed into your cannagar shell, it’s time to remove the cannagar itself. Using the proper tools, remove the cannagar from the inside of the mold. Do this carefully and slowly as to not damage your rudimentary Thai stick.

Once the cannagar blunt has been removed, it’s time to insert it into your King Palm Mini. The cannagar should fit perfectly, but it will be quite a tight squeeze. Again, do this process delicately and make sure not to bend your King Palm roll in the process.

After it has been inserted, the last thing you need to do before lighting up is removing the metal rod. Your cannagar mold should come with the right tool to do this with, making it an effortless process.

Step Four: Enjoy!

As soon as the metal skewer is gone, your King Palm cannagar is ready for smoking. Simply light the open end, inhale slowly, and relish in the incredibly potent, ultra-smooth smoke you’ve just created.

With this technique under your belt, you have the ability to enjoy a King Palm cannagar whenever your heart desires (or, whenever you have enough bud).
